W3I Network — Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

W3I Network ("the Service") is operated by the W3I community initiative ("W3I", "we", "us"). W3I is building infrastructure for Ukraine's Web3 talent ecosystem.

The Service includes the w3i.network website and everything on it: the ecosystem map, Talent Connect matching platform, published reports, and community tools. By using any part of the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service includes

Ecosystem Map

An interactive visualization of people and organizations in Ukraine's Web3 ecosystem. The map is built from data managed in our CRM and exported for public viewing.

Talent Connect

A matching platform that connects people seeking opportunities in Web3 ("Candidates") with organizations and mentors seeking talent ("Seekers"). Talent Connect facilitates introductions — after an introduction, all further communication happens directly between the parties.

Reports and content

Published research, annual reports, strategic plans, and the W3I Manifesto. This content is available for informational purposes.

Support and donations

Ways to support W3I through our DAO or other channels. All contributions are voluntary.

2. Talent Connect — for Candidates

Your profile is visible

When you submit your profile, it becomes visible in the public catalog. This means anyone who visits the catalog can see your name, skills, education, location, English level, and links you provided (LinkedIn, GitHub, CV).

Contact sharing upon introduction

Your email and Telegram handle are not shown in the catalog. They are shared only when a Seeker requests an introduction. By registering, you consent to your contact details being shared with Seekers who request an introduction to you.

Accuracy of information

You agree that the information in your profile is truthful and accurate. Misleading profiles (fake experience, fabricated skills) undermine trust and may lead to your profile being removed without notice.

Professional conduct

When a Seeker reaches out, we expect you to respond within a reasonable time, even if only to say you're not interested. Ghosting hurts the ecosystem. You're free to decline any opportunity — just communicate it.

3. Talent Connect — for Seekers

Introductions are for real opportunities

You may request introductions only for genuine opportunities — employment, mentorship, collaboration, or project involvement. Using the platform to collect contact data for marketing, spam, or any other purpose unrelated to professional opportunities is prohibited.

Respectful communication

Candidates are real people who trusted us with their data. Treat them with respect. Discrimination based on gender, nationality, religion, age, or any other characteristic is not tolerated.

Confidentiality of candidate data

Contact details you receive through introductions are for your direct communication with the candidate only. You may not share, sell, or redistribute candidate contact information to third parties.

4. Your data and privacy

What we collect

For Talent Connect Candidates, we collect and store:

  • Name, email, Telegram, location, birth year, English level
  • Education and work experience details
  • Skills and specializations
  • Links (LinkedIn, GitHub, CV)
  • Free-text fields (expectations, comments)

For Talent Connect Seekers, we collect:

  • Email address (used for login and introductions)
  • Introduction messages you send to candidates

For all visitors, we collect:

  • Anonymous usage analytics (page views, interactions) via Google Analytics

How we use your data

  • To display your profile in the catalog (Candidates)
  • To facilitate introductions between Candidates and Seekers
  • To send transactional emails (introduction notifications, magic links)
  • To improve the Service (anonymous, aggregated analytics only)

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties beyond what is described here.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (given when you register or use the Service).

Your rights

Under GDPR and Ukrainian data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to update inaccurate information
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your profile and all associated data
  • Withdrawal of consent — you can withdraw your consent at any time by requesting profile deletion

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@w3i.network. We will process your request within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep your profile active until you ask us to remove it or until we determine the profile is no longer relevant (e.g., no activity for 12 months). Before removing an inactive profile, we will attempt to notify you by email.

5. The Service is free

W3I Network is a free community service. There are no fees for using any part of the platform — no subscription, no per-introduction charges, no hidden costs.

If you wish to support the W3I community — that is entirely voluntary and at your own discretion. We will never ask for or expect payment for using the Service.

6. What we don't guarantee

We do our best to create value, but we want to be honest about what we can and can't promise:

  • We do not guarantee that Candidates will receive introductions or that Seekers will find the right person.
  • We do not verify the information provided by users. Profiles are based on self-reported data.
  • We are not responsible for the outcome of any communication, negotiation, employment, or collaboration that results from an introduction.
  • We are not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from interactions between users.
  • The ecosystem map and published content are provided "as is" — we strive for accuracy but do not guarantee completeness or timeliness.

7. Rules for everyone

  • Be honest. Don't misrepresent who you are or what you offer.
  • Be respectful. This is a professional platform.
  • Don't abuse the Service — no spam, scraping, automated access, or attempts to extract data in bulk.
  • Don't use introductions for purposes other than professional opportunities.

We reserve the right to remove profiles or block access for users who violate these rules.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify affected users by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
